Leisure World entered into a telecommunications services agreement with Comcast Corporation earlier this month that will provide cable TV and high-speed broadband internet service to all homes in the community beginning Jan. 1, 2020.
Comcast will provide these services at a below market bulk rate, potentially saving each resident several hundreds of dollars on cable TV and internet service every year.
Equipment installation is scheduled to begin in residents’ homes in mid-September. The new agreement also includes significant upgrades to the cable and internet infrastructure of the community’s common areas.
