Much-anticipated construction by Warfel Construction Company is set to begin on the coming Administration Building on Monday, April 3, 2023.
The two-floor, state-of-the-art building will replace the nearly 60-year old current Administration Building and will continue to house vendors, staff offices and meeting rooms.
The final phase of the project is scheduled to begin in April 2024, after Leisure World of Maryland Corporation staff moves into the new building. This third phase will include demolition of the existing Administration Building and construction of a new parking lot that will include 18 ADA-designated parking spaces, as well as new sidewalks, curbs, gutters and paving.
Construction of the new Administration Building’s lower level is expected to begin in October 2023, and the entire project is projected to be completed by summer 2024.
A groundbreaking ceremony attended by management and Leisure World residents was held for the new building on March 22, 2023.
