Leisure World of Maryland was named the number one of the top 25 “Best Value Active Adult Communities” for 2018 by 55Places.com, an online resource that provides information about independent living communities for adults ages 55+.
A feature article spotlighting Leisure World states, “There are so many reasons as to why it was chosen,” then focuses on four areas: the community’s variety of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes; services; location near Silver Spring, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.; and amenities and lifestyle. “Whether you want to spend time indoors or outside, that time will be spent meaningfully,” 55places.com says.
The website examined over 2,000 active adult communities across the country to determine which offered their residents the most overall value, taking into account account factors including home prices, homeowners’ association (HOA) fees, the range of amenities, and lifestyle opportunities.
