A comprehensive resident directory was recently added to the community’s internal website residents.lwmc.com, providing our residents yet one more digital alternative to paper-based systems.
Website-users looking for the name or phone number of another resident need only sign into the website and follow a few simple steps to find the information they need. Each resident controls how much, if any, of his or her contact information is available.
Since October 2017, residents have benefited from the private, login-based website, where they have access to a panoply of downloadable documents, including meeting agendas and minutes for nearly 20 advisory committees, maintenance and service contracts, governance documents and calendar and event information, including the community’s three restaurant menus.
Each of Leisure World’s 29 mutuals, or housing associations, also has access to its own private webpages that can be accessed via the main site. These webpages are becoming an easy way for mutuals to share events, policy changes, calendars and whatever else they choose with their residents.
The website is intuitively navigable and readable by users with visual disabilities. Before its release, residents ranging from adept users to web novices tested a beta version and provided feedback on its design.
More than 1,300 residents and counting have signed up as users on the residents’ website since its launch. A link to the website’s sign-in page is found at the top of all pages of this website (leisureworldmaryland.com). Click on “Resident Website” to see more.
